Saturday, October 18 – Real Men Sing Festival, Wartburg College.

Saturday, October 22 – All-State auditions, West Delaware High School, Manchester.  Select students

Tuesday, October 25 – Jim Parks festival at Bellevue High School.  All high school choir.  Rehearsals begin at 1:00 p.m.  Concert open to the public at 7:00 p.m.  Guest conductor Dr. Mark Babcock from Central College, Pella.

Friday, November 11 – Veteran’s Day program at BHS.  All high school choir

Monday, November 14 – Tri-Rivers Conference vocal festival hosted at East Buchanan  12:00 rehearsals, 7:00 p.m. concert.  Guest conductor Dr. Jennaya Robison from Luther College.  Select high school students

Thursday – Saturday, November 17-19 – Opus and All-State festivals, Iowa State University.  Opus student from 7th grade: Allison Kettmann

Tuesday, December 13 – PreK-5th grade Christmas Concert 6:30 p.m. MEC for all PreK-5 students

Wednesday, December 14 – 6-12th grade Christmas Concert 6:30 p.m.  in St. Joseph’s Church for all middle and high school students

January 23-24 – Meistersing Honor Choir, Wartburg College.

January 27 – 5/6th grade East Central district, Iowa Choral Directors Association honor choir, Coe College.

Friday, February 17 – Adrian Choral Festival, University of Dubuque.  Select high school students

Monday, February 27 – 7/8th grade Tri-Rivers Conference Vocal Festival, Calamus-Wheatland schools.  All 7/8th grade students.

March 23-25 – High school spring musical “The Wizard of Oz”

Saturday, April 8 – High school solo/ensemble contest.  Select high school students

Sunday, May 2 – Community piano recital at Bellevue High School 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 6 – “Te Deum” concert with the Dubuque Chorale.  Select high school students

Monday, May 8 – Pre-k – 5th grade variety show in the MEC

Sunday, May 28 – Graduation Mass 2:00 p.m.  All high school choir students

In the event a student must miss a required concert due to illness or family emergency, there are two options for the student to make up the grade and assess the music they’ve been learning.

 “Oh Say, Can You Sing!”  7th grade students Sophie Long, Allison Kettmann, and Kaylee Koos entered a competition through the Dubuque radio stations and won the honor of having their recording of the National Anthem aired during the Dubuque fireworks and airshow on July 3, 2016!
