Saturday, September 19 – Pre-All-State workshop, Linn-Mar HS.  Select students

Sunday, September 20 – Collaborative choir concert at Clarke University featuring Beckman, Wahlert, and Marquette.  All high school choir.  Time TBA

Saturday, October 17 – Real Men Sing Festival, Wartburg College.  ALL 7/8th grade boys, any high school men

Saturday, October 24 – All-State auditions, West Delaware Schools, Manchester.  Select students

Wednesday, November 11 – Veteran’s Day program at BHS.  All high school choir

Monday, November 16 – Tri-Rivers Conference vocal festival hosted by Marquette.  12:00 rehearsals, 7:00 p.m. concert.  Guest conductor Jeremy Manternach from the University of Iowa.  Select high school students

Thursday – Saturday, November 19-21 – Opus and All-State festivals, Iowa State University.  Opus students from 6th grade Holly Beauchamp, Allison Kettmann, Kaylee Koos, and Sophie Long.  All-State senior Louren Kilburg.

Sunday, December 6 – Parks Festival at BHS 1:00 rehearsals, 7:00 p.m. concert.  All high school choir

Monday, December 7 – PreK-5th grade Christmas Concert 6:30 p.m. MEC for all PreK-5 students

Sunday, December 13 – 6-12th grade Christmas Concert 6:30 p.m.  MEC for all middle and high school students

Saturday-Monday, January 9-11 – Dorian Vocal Festival, Luther College.  Select juniors and seniors

Friday, January 29 – Adrian Choral Festival, University of Dubuque.  Select high school students

Thursday – Saturday, April 7-9 – The Sound of Music  Call 563-872-3356 to reserve tickets

Saturday, April 16 – High school solo/ensemble contest.  Select high school students

Sunday, May 1 – Community piano recital at Bellevue High School 1:00 p.m.

Monday, May 9 – Elementary variety show 6:30 p.m. in the MEC

Sunday, May 15  – 6 -12th grade spring concert and Fine Arts Awards night.  All 6-12 choir students.

Monday, May 16 – Bellevue public junior high choir concert; all Marquette 7th/8th choir invited to attend.

Sunday, May 29 – Graduation Mass 2:00 p.m.  All high school choir members.

 Marquette Night Out With The Saints!  6th grade students Sophie Long, Allison Kettmann, and Kaylee Koos sang the National Anthem for 2,600 people at the hockey game on Saturday, November 7, 2015!

Marquette Catholic was blessed to have five outstanding musicians who auditioned for All-State this year!  In this picture you see freshmen Brooklynn Moore and Sunny North; seniors Jonathon Stroyan (director, Jill Sieverding), Erica Timmerman, and Louren Kilburg.  Congratulations to Erica Timmerman for receiving a recall audition and to Louren Kilburg for being accepted into the Iowa All-State choir!

Men in grades 7-12 participated in the Real Men Sing Festival at Wartburg College on Saturday, October 17, 2015.  Marquette’s young men included Jonathan Herrig, Kelby Mueller, Parker Mueller, Jon Stroyan, Daniel Michel, Wade Schwager, Jake Anderson, Nicholas Hager, Carson Michels, Lucas Sieverding, and Luke Kies.  Special guests at this year’s festival was men’s a cappella group Vocal Point from BYU.


Marquette’s high school choir was invited to perform at Clarke University for the faculty recital of Dr. Amy Dunker where they joined members of the Clarke Collegiate Singers on September 20, 2015.

Wartburg All-State Camp, August 2015

Sophie Long and Kaylee Koos were invited to sing the National Anthem at the Clinton LumberKings minor league baseball game on Tuesday, August 11, 2015!

Ms. Sieverding took 100 hours of training at Drake University in July and earned her Kodaly, Level 1 certificate to improve the quality of learning music literacy in grades K-6.
