Mrs. Jennifer Upmann – Fourth Grade
Hello. My name is Jennifer Upmann. I have been teaching at Marquette since 2007. During my time at Marquette I have taught science, reading, language arts, math, and STARS in the middle school before moving to the elementary building to teach fourth grade.
I have an Iowa teaching license with endoresments in K-6 Teacher Elementary Classroom, K-8 English / Langauge Arts, 5-8 Middle School Generalist, K-8 Reading and 5-12 Reading.
I grew up on a farm north of Dyersville, Iowa. I’m the oldest in my family. I have two brothers. I also have a sister who passed away a number of years ago. I’m married to Dean Upmann who gradutated from Marquette in 1992. We have one son, Benjamin, and a dog named Toodles.
I attended Saint Francis Xavier Elementary School and Beckman Catholic High School in Dyersville. After high school, I attended Clarke College, now Clarke University, in Dubuqe. After graduation I taught fifth and fourth grade at Seton Catholic in Peosta for eleven years before getting married and moving to Bellevue.
